Giant Drop

Ok so my next project is basicaly a replica of the giant drop at dreamworld. a replica of the worlds tallest and fastest freefall ride. its going to look amazing but i have to sart to draw up plans and stat building. the attaction wil be able to cary a camera for a pov and the tower will reach a hight of 6 meters tall around 20 feet tall:)

ok i am sorry for my fans who have been weighting for me to feed you with more information on the giant drop... well basicaly i did my first atempt on the 10 of october 2009 and i had the helping hands of Jacqui N, Jeremy J and Ben L. as we wer standing the giant drop for the first time we found that all of the suports wer buckeling and snaping. the tower was simpaly not strong enough so we then reenforced it with x suports insted of diaganal I rods. the tower heald its weight well. so we then stood the tower up and placed the 5 meter freefall segment onto the base and then we pregresed to move the tower 3 metres to its destanation in the midle of the yard.. as we reached the 2 metre mark we wer forced to stop moveing the tower as wind speed picked up.. we couldent fight the wind and the tower ended up toppleing over. i was so crushed but from the disarster i had the evedence in what caused the tower fo snap in the center and fall over. we basickaly suported the towers weight with the base of the tower. since there was heavy winds i was forced to use guidence lines atached to the top of the tower. it was basicaly bound to snap in the midle as there was no horisontal suporting in the center of the tower. the wind saw it as a sheet of polystirien and snaped it with its speed. i knew that i had to another 4 guide lines in the midle of the tower to give it full structual suport.

The next weekend. (17/20/2009)we set out once again to make the tallest and fastest frefall ride in the world and we did it succesfully for the win! thw tower stood at 7 metres tall (23 feet) and the gondalur fell fo 5 metres. the atraction was desighend to holst a onride camera and posabaly a small animal like a mouse accept i thauight it would be best to not use an animal as people would see it as some act of animal crulety. the attraction had a 2 meter brake segment and it had an extra metre of egmergencty brakes if it was holding the camera or any other heavy load. the ride was fully functional with automatic gondalur sispatchment system at the top of the tower as wel as 2 brake segments, manual cable car and a asistant gonderlur lift to bring the guandelur into the station after it hit the brakes.

i now have some construction pictures for you from the GIANT DROP!!
